| Henri V, descendant of Louis XVI, was indeed claimant to the Throne in 1876. Unfortunately for him, this was rendered a little awkward by the fact that France had become a Republic yet again. I think Burton was here honouring a request from Henri's librarian; and Henri was, in any event, Isabel's friend. |
